Society for the Performing Arts is dedicated to enriching the lives of K-12 and college students throughout the greater Houston area and supporting creativity and high-quality instruction in the classroom.
Teacher Workshops provide professional learning opportunities and teaching tools for PK-12 Fine Arts teachers. These programs support both new and veteran teachers to maximize and refine their arts curriculum. SPA’s Teacher Workshops offer Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit to attendees.
During the 2020-2021 season, SPA will provide teacher training in two areas: the Collaborative Arts Project (CAP) and the annual Student Visual Art Contest. See below for upcoming training dates. Scholarships are available on a need basis. For more information about upcoming training and to request a scholarship, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
