With every event it presents, Society for the Performing Arts strives to create a fulfilling experience for its patrons. The Aim Arts Talks series with pre-performance lectures and post-performance question-and-answer sessions, as well as program notes provided online and at performances, offer patrons an opportunity to learn more about a particular art form or artist. Performance preludes by local performers presented in the lobby prior to the main event also enhance the overall SPA experience.
To round out the experience even further, consider dining at the theater just prior to the performance! Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the menu often reflects the theme of the evening. For more information, call 713.227.4772. Cocktails, wine and other beverages are also available for purchase prior to and during intermission for every performance.
With most SPA performances taking place in the heart of the Theater District, an abundance of restaurants and hotels offer patrons wonderful dining experiences before or after a performance.
For the out-of-town visitor, Jones Hall and the Wortham Theater Center are within walking distance of many downtown hotels.
