What else can you say about Itzhak Perlman? He is undeniably the reigning virtuoso of the violin. His impact and influence has transcended classical music. He is beloved for his charm and humanity and is treasured by audiences who respond not only to his remarkable artistry, but also to the irrepressible joy so present in his playing. He’s been awarded so often by so many it would take this entire program to list every honor. His affect on culture, even pop culture, has been profound. He’s played for kings and queens and Presidents. And he’ll play for us in February.
