Student Matinees

For educators who value world-class live performances, SPA offers a Student Matinee Series. These special performances introduce thousands of students to live performance every year. They also provide classrooms with contextual lessons for social studies, critical literacy and creative writing.

Student Matinees include deeply discounted tickets to daytime performances, study guides and partial reimbursements for bus transportation.

All schools are eligible for the ConocoPhillips Transportation Assistance Program. Participation is easy.

The Passing Zone has been wowing audiences for decades. They have been finalists on "America's Got Talent," performed at the White House and hold four Guinness World Records. Their newest show, The Passing Zone Saves the World, flies into Houston this fall, and Jon and Owen put the world's troubles on their shoulders as they attempt to save us all! From what? How do they do it? By temporarily suspending gravity. By turning chainsaws into dance partners rather that tools for wiping out rain forests. The Passing Zone saves the world from boredom and the mundance by putting themselves at risk for your amusement! So whether your favorite part will be the stun gun, the chainsaws, the superhero capes or the ping pong balls...save the date because there's nothing more important than saving the world!
